Summary:
Baby cannot start on solids until he hits 6 months old. Don’t force him to try solids a wee bit earlier won’t make him “more advanced” than any kids his age. At 0-6 months, each baby has a specific need that only breast milk (which nature provides and formulates) can address.
Giving only breast milk to the baby in the first six months is the best way of making sure he’s getting everything he needs. Many pediatrician explains that baby’s body isn’t really ready for solids before six months and the baby has to be ready when solid foods is introduced. The body needs to be ready with the substance that can break down the different types of solid foods. Doctors are sure that the baby is pretty much ready for mushy-version of solid foods at this time. The baby has to learn how to chew and push food backwards onto the mouth. Ask your pediatrician when your baby is ready to start on solids because sometimes, extra time on exclusive breastfeeding may required too.
Reaction and Implementation:
In my opinion, it is true that 6 months old baby cannot start on solid unless try some mushy foods on him, for him to be ready on solid foods when his tummy is ready to break down solid foods. For me, breast milk is very tummy friendly, easily absorbed and has the best combination of nutrients; it has great concentration of anti bodies that help babies fight against diseases, required in the first six months of life. It’s the healthiest nourishment a baby could receive. Giving the baby just one new food at a time so that when an allergic reaction crops up it’s easy to point the culprit. Try also using your finger as a spoon;(make sure that your finger is clean whenever you insert it to the mouth of the baby)
